These are a few images of one of my most recent projects.For this project I created a large mechanical bird puppet . The puppet was  cable controlled  and had various mechanisms including blinking , neck rotation and an opening beak.

This version of the Caterbird  would be for a theatrical adaptation of  Paul Stewart's and Chris Riddell's 'The Edge Chronicles'.The Caterbird  is a key character from The Edge Chronicles . This play would be set around woodland trails and aimed at older children.(8+). This is why I kept the designs relatively cartoonish .
